Ingredients

1 cup pumpkin puree (canned or fresh)

1/2 cup sugar

1/4 cup brown sugar, packed

1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

2 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg

1/2 teaspoon ground ginger

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 cup milk

Optional: powdered sugar or cinnamon sugar for coating

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a donut pan.

Mix Wet Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the pumpkin puree, sugar, brown sugar, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract. Whisk until smooth and well combined.

Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and salt.

Combine Mixtures: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring gently until just combined. Avoid overmixing. Add the milk to reach the desired consistency.

Fill Donut Pan: Spoon or pipe the batter into the prepared donut pan, filling each donut cavity about 2/3 full.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 15-18 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Cool: Allow the donuts to cool in the pan for about 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Coat (Optional): If desired, roll the cooled donuts in powdered sugar or cinnamon sugar for extra sweetness.

Serve: Enjoy your delightful baked pumpkin donuts with coffee, tea, or as a sweet afternoon treat!
