Ingredients

4 cups all-purpose flour

2 teaspoons instant yeast

1 tablespoon sugar

1 teaspoon salt

1 cup whole milk, warmed to about 110°F (43°C)

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted, plus more for brushing

2 large eggs, room temperature

2 tablespoons fresh rosemary, finely chopped

2 tablespoons fresh thyme, finely chopped

1 tablespoon garlic, minced

Flaky sea salt, for topping

Instructions

In a large mixing bowl, combine 2 cups of the flour, instant yeast, sugar, and salt. Mix until well combined.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the warm milk, melted butter, and eggs until fully blended.

Gradually pour the milk mixture into the flour mixture, stirring with a wooden spoon or spatula until combined.

Add the remaining flour one cup at a time, mixing until a soft dough forms. Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface.

Knead the dough for about 7-10 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.

Incorporate the chopped rosemary, thyme, and minced garlic into the dough, kneading until they are evenly distributed.

Place the dough into a lightly greased bowl. Cover it with a damp cloth or plastic wrap and let it rise in a warm place until it doubles in size, about 1 to 1.5 hours.

Once risen, punch down the dough and divide it into 12 equal pieces. Shape each piece into a ball and arrange them snugly in a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.

Cover the dish with a cloth and let the rolls rise again until they have doubled in size, approximately 30-45 minutes.

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Bake the rolls for 20-25 minutes or until they are golden brown on top.

Remove from the oven and immediately brush the tops with melted butter and sprinkle with flaky sea salt.

Allow the rolls to cool slightly before serving warm.
