Ingredients

8 oz linguine pasta

1/2 lb ground beef

1/2 lb Italian sausage, casings removed

4 tablespoons unsalted butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Cook the Linguine: In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the linguine according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Brown the Meats: In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add the ground beef and Italian sausage. Cook, breaking up the meat with a spoon, until browned and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.

Prepare the Garlic Butter: In the same skillet with the meat, reduce the heat to medium. Add the butter and minced garlic, stirring until fragrant and the garlic is softened, about 1-2 minutes.

Create the Sauce: Pour in the heavy cream, mixing well with the meat and garlic. Bring to a gentle simmer for about 2-3 minutes.

Add the Cheeses: Stir in the Parmesan and mozzarella cheeses until melted and creamy. If the sauce is too thick, add a little pasta water to reach your desired consistency.

Mix with Linguine: Add the drained linguine to the skillet, tossing to coat the pasta thoroughly with the cheesy sauce. Season with red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper to taste.

Serve: Divide the linguine into bowls, garnish with freshly chopped parsley, and serve immediately. Enjoy your cheesy garlic butter linguine!
