8 oz twisted pasta (fusilli or cavatappi)

3 tablespoons olive oil

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions
 

Cook the Pasta: In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the twisted pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

    Sauté the Garlic: In a large skillet over medium heat, add olive oil. Once hot, add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes (if using). Sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant but not browned.

      Create the Sauce: Reduce the heat to low and stir in the heavy cream, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Let it simmer gently for 2-3 minutes.

        Add Cheese: Stir in the grated Parmesan and shredded mozzarella until melted and creamy.

          Combine Pasta and Sauce: Add the cooked pasta to the skillet, tossing to coat well in the cheesy garlic sauce. If the sauce is too thick, add a splash of pasta water to reach desired consistency.

            Serve: Plate the Cheesy Garlic Twisted Pasta, garnishing with chopped parsley and extra Parmesan if desired. Enjoy warm!
