Ingredients

1 cup walnuts, finely chopped

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

1 cup granulated sugar

2 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1/2 cup powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.

Beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract. Mix well.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the baking powder, salt, and all-purpose flour.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.

Fold in the finely chopped walnuts until evenly distributed throughout the dough.

Chill the dough in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes to make it easier to handle.

Once chilled, scoop tablespoon-sized balls of dough and roll them into balls using your palms.

Roll each dough ball in powdered sugar until fully coated. Place them on the prepared baking sheet, spaced about 2 inches apart.

Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden, and the tops are crinkled.

Remove from the oven and let them cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
