Ingredients

Dough

4 cups all-purpose flour

1/4 cup granulated sugar

2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast

1 teaspoon salt

1 cup whole milk, warmed

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

2 large eggs

Filling

1 cup brown sugar, packed

2 tablespoons ground cinnamon

1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened

Glaze

1 cup powdered sugar

2 tablespoons cream cheese, softened

2 tablespoons milk (more if needed)

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

Prepare the Dough:

In a large bowl, combine the warm milk and sugar. Sprinkle the yeast over the top and let it sit for about 5 minutes until it becomes frothy.

      Make the Dough:

Add melted butter, eggs, and salt to the yeast mixture. Gradually add the flour, mixing until a soft dough forms. Knead on a lightly floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth.

          Let the Dough Rise:

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour until it doubles in size.

              Prepare the Filling:

In a small bowl, combine brown sugar and ground cinnamon. Spread softened butter evenly over the rolled-out dough, then sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture all over.

                  Roll and Cut:

Roll the dough tightly into a log, starting from one long side. Cut into 12 equal pieces and place them in a greased baking dish.

                      Second Rise:

Cover the dish with a towel and let the rolls rise again in a warm spot for 30 minutes, until puffy.

                          Bake:

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the rolls for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown. Let them cool slightly while you prepare the glaze.

                              Make the Glaze:

In a medium bowl, whisk together powdered sugar, softened cream cheese, milk, and vanilla until smooth. Adjust the consistency with more milk if too thick.

                                  Glaze the Rolls:

Drizzle the glaze over the warm cinnamon rolls and serve immediately.
