Ingredients

1 lb fresh crab meat (or canned, drained)

1 lb lobster meat, chopped

4 cups seafood stock

1 cup heavy cream

1/2 cup dry white wine

1 medium onion, finely diced

2 cloves garlic, minced

2 tablespoons tomato paste

2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning

1 teaspoon paprika

1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for heat)

Salt and black pepper, to taste

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 tablespoon butter

Fresh parsley, minced (for garnish)

Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions

In a large pot, heat olive oil and butter over medium heat. Add the diced onion and sauté until translucent, about 5 minutes. Stir in the garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.

Add the tomato paste, Old Bay seasoning, paprika, and cayenne pepper. Cook for another 2 minutes, stirring to combine well.

Sprinkle the flour over the onion mixture and stir to coat. Gradually add the white wine, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens, about 2-3 minutes.

Pour in the seafood stock and bring the mixture to a simmer. Let it cook for 15-20 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.

Reduce the heat to low and stir in the heavy cream. Add the crab meat and lobster meat, gently folding them into the bisque. Allow to simmer for an additional 5-10 minutes, being careful not to boil.

Season with salt and black pepper to taste. If desired, add more Old Bay or cayenne for extra flavor.

Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley and accompanied by lemon wedges for an extra zing.
