Ingredients

8 ounces penne pasta

1 pound ground beef

4 tablespoons unsalted butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 medium onion, chopped

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup beef broth

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Salt and pepper to taste

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Optional: red pepper flakes (for heat)

Instructions

Cook the Pasta: In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the penne pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Prepare the Beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent, about 3-4 minutes. Add the minced garlic and sauté for an additional minute.

Brown the Ground Beef: Increase the heat to medium-high and add the ground beef to the skillet. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Cook until the beef is browned and cooked through, breaking it apart with a spatula, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.

Make the Creamy Sauce: Reduce the heat to medium and add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter to the pan. Once melted, slowly pour in the beef broth and heavy cream, stirring to combine. Let it simmer for about 5 minutes until it slightly thickens.

Combine Pasta and Sauce: Add the cooked penne to the skillet, then stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and creamy. If the sauce is too thick, add a splash more of beef broth or cream to reach your desired consistency.

Taste and Adjust: Taste the dish and adjust seasoning with more salt, pepper, or red pepper flakes if desired.

Serve: Garnish with fresh parsley before serving. Enjoy your creamy garlic butter beef penne!
