Ingredients

1 lb (450g) boneless, skinless chicken thighs

1 cup buttermilk

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp onion powder

1/2 tsp smoked paprika

Salt and pepper, to taste

1/4 cup honey

1/4 cup unsalted butter

2 tbsp fresh lemon juice

1 tbsp soy sauce

Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish

Instructions

Marinate the Chicken: In a bowl, combine the buttermilk, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Add the chicken thighs, ensuring they are fully submerged. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours (or overnight for best flavor).

Prepare the Honey Butter Sauce: In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the butter. Stir in the honey, lemon juice, and soy sauce until well combined. Allow the mixture to warm through, but do not let it boil. Set aside.

Bread the Chicken: After marinating, remove the chicken from the buttermilk and let any excess drip off. In a large dish, mix the flour with a pinch of salt and pepper. Dredge each chicken thigh in the flour mixture, ensuring they are well-coated.

Fry the Chicken: In a large skillet, heat about 1/2 inch of oil over medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot, add the breaded chicken thighs in batches, frying for about 6-7 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through. Transfer the cooked chicken to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.

Glaze the Chicken: Place the fried chicken in a serving dish and drizzle the honey butter sauce over the top, tossing gently to coat the chicken evenly.

Serve: Sprinkle with fresh chopped parsley and serve immediately alongside your favorite sides.
