Ingredients

1 cup unsweetened almond milk (or any milk of your choice)

1 tablespoon culinary-grade matcha powder

2 tablespoons hot water (about 175°F or 80°C)

1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries

1-2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup (to taste)

Ice cubes

Optional: whipped cream for topping

Optional: blueberry syrup for drizzling

Instructions

Prepare the Blueberries: If using fresh blueberries, rinse them under cold water. If using frozen, let them thaw slightly. In a small saucepan over medium heat, add the blueberries and 1 tablespoon of water. Cook while stirring gently until they begin to break down and form a sauce (about 5 minutes). Remove from heat and let cool.

Mix the Matcha: In a small bowl, whisk the matcha powder with 2 tablespoons of hot water until smooth and frothy, ensuring no lumps remain. Adjust sweetness by adding honey or maple syrup, stirring well to combine.

Assemble the Latte: In a tall glass, add a layer of ice cubes. Pour the almond milk over the ice, followed by the matcha mixture. Gently pour the blueberry sauce on top.

Finish and Serve: Stir gently to swirl the colors together, but don’t fully mix. Optional: top with whipped cream and drizzle more blueberry syrup on top for extra sweetness. Serve immediately with a straw or spoon.
