Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 cup granulated sugar

2 teaspoons baking powder

½ teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon ground cinnamon

2 large eggs

½ cup whole milk

¼ cup unsalted butter, melted

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

½ cup fresh raspberries

4 strips of crispy cooked bacon, crumbled

1 cup powdered sugar

2-3 tablespoons pure maple syrup

Extra raspberries and bacon crumbles for garnish

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Start by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a donut pan with non-stick spray.

Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon until well combined.

Combine Wet Ingredients: In another bowl, mix the eggs, whole milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.

Combine Mixtures: Gradually pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, mixing until just combined. Be sure not to overmix; it’s okay if there are a few lumps.

Fold in Raspberries and Bacon: Gently fold in the fresh raspberries and crumbled bacon, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the batter.

Fill the Donut Pan: Spoon the batter into the prepared donut pan, filling each cavity about ¾ full.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Cool the Donuts: Allow the donuts to cool in the pan for about 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Prepare the Glaze: In a small bowl, mix the powdered sugar with the maple syrup until smooth. Adjust the thickness as desired by adding a little water if necessary.

Glaze the Donuts: Dip the tops of the cooled donuts into the glaze, allowing the excess to drip off.

Garnish and Serve: Top each glazed donut with extra raspberries and crumbled bacon for added flavor and a delightful presentation. Serve immediately and enjoy the sweet and savory combination!
