Ingredients

1 whole turkey breast (about 4–5 lbs), bone-in, skin-on

4 cloves garlic, minced

2 tablespoons fresh rosemary, chopped

2 tablespoons fresh thyme, chopped

2 tablespoons fresh sage, chopped

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1 cup chicken broth

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1 tablespoon unsalted butter, softened

Optional: Fresh herbs for garnish

Instructions

Preheat Your Oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

Prepare the Herb Mixture: In a small bowl, combine minced garlic, chopped rosemary, thyme, and sage. Add olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to form a paste.

Prep the Turkey Breast: Pat the turkey breast dry with paper towels. Using your fingers, carefully separate the skin from the turkey, creating a pocket for the herb mixture without tearing the skin.

Season the Turkey: Rub half of the garlic herb paste directly onto the meat under the skin. Rub the remaining paste over the skin of the turkey breast for added flavor.

Add Liquid for Juiciness: In a roasting pan, pour in the chicken broth and lemon juice. Place the turkey breast on a rack in the roasting pan, skin side up. This will help the turkey cook evenly while staying juicy.

Roast the Turkey: Roast the turkey in the preheated oven for about 1.5 to 2 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). Baste the turkey with the pan juices every 30 minutes.

Butter Finish: In the last 30 minutes of roasting, take a tablespoon of softened butter and rub it over the turkey skin for a beautiful golden finish.

Rest and Serve: Once cooked, remove the turkey breast from the oven and let it rest for 15-20 minutes before slicing. This allows the juices to redistribute for maximum juiciness. Serve garnished with fresh herbs if desired.
