Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

8 oz pasta (penne or fusilli work well)

1 medium onion, diced

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup beef broth

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 tsp Italian seasoning

1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

Salt and pepper to taste

2 tbsp olive oil

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Cook the Pasta: In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Brown the Beef: In the same pot, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook until browned and no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.

Sauté Onion and Garlic: Add the diced onion to the pot with the beef. Sauté for about 2-3 minutes until the onion becomes translucent. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for another 1 minute until fragrant.

Create the Cream Sauce: Pour in the beef broth and bring to a simmer. Add the heavy cream, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes (if using). Stir until well combined and let simmer for about 5 minutes, allowing the sauce to slightly thicken.

Add Cheese and Pasta: Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until melted and incorporated. Add the cooked pasta to the pot and toss everything together until the pasta is evenly coated with the creamy sauce. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Serve: Spoon the creamy ground beef pasta into bowls and garnish with freshly chopped parsley. Serve warm and enjoy your delicious meal!
